During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral issues and stressed the need for developing cooperation to combat terrorism and extremism.
This is reportedly Mr. Zarif’s last meeting in Kabul, after which he would leave the Afghan capital for Tehran.
Iran’s Javad Zarif left Tehran for Kabul on Sunday morning for high-level talks with top Afghan officials, including President Ashraf Ghani, Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah, Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani and National Security Adviser Mohammad Haneef Atmar.
